The Fighting Lamp
The new pattern Fighting lamp was the first of the pressure lamps for use in gun casemates. A series of pressure plates prevented the lamp from being blown out by the concussion of a gun firing.
The wood bracket was for the new pattern fighting lamp, whilst the metal bracket was for the old pattern Tremlett's lamp.
